Hornsby Joins DPI as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer

Larry G. Hornsby, CRNADiversified Professionals, Inc. is pleased to announce Larry G. Hornsby, CRNA, as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer. Hornsby brings 30 years of experience specific to the industry of anesthesia management. “This is a significant milestone for DPI,” said John Sikes, Chief Executive Officer. “Larry’s national presence and experience are invaluable. We look forward to applying his expertise toward our company’s growth.” Hornsby is a nationally-renown expert on the business of anesthesia and is a highly sought-after resource on the topic. He most recently served NorthStar Anesthesia as Senior Vice President of Operations, Southern Division and later, as Vice President, CRNA Recruiting and Development. In 2014, NorthStar Anesthesia acquired AmSol, LLC, an anesthesia management company Hornsby co-owned.

Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer At DPI, Hornsby will be focusing efforts on increasing operational efficiencies, optimizing recruiting and staffing efforts, and new business development. In addition to working in anesthesia management, Hornsby’s career has been largely focused on professional advocacy. After serving in almost every elected position in the Alabama Association of Nurse Anesthetists and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA), he served as President of the AANA from 2000-2001 and is most known for his prominent role in negotiating the nationwide supervision opt-out ruling with U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Tommy Thompson. Hornsby received the AANA’s highest honor, the Agatha Hodgins Award for Outstanding Accomplishment, in 2013. In 2016, he received the Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award from his alma mater, the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing. DPI was founded in 2003 and has grown to become a multi-faceted corporation serving a growing client base in the healthcare field. The company brings together a team of highly trained anesthesiologists and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to provide anesthesia services to facilities or office-based practices of any size.
